I used to have a Warrior cats RP website called freewebs.com/thebigcatclans. I would write stories about my character and other people's characters on the site. When I killed my character on the site, I wrote this story ti explain my death and who the new leader would be:

"     One night, Hawktalon, TigerClan's deputy, was returning from a hunt. He walked be Saberstar's den. Suddenly, a quiet voice said "Hawktalon! Come in to my den. I must speak to you." It was Saberstar. Hawktalon entered the den.

"Hello, Saberstar," said Hawktalon. As Hawktalon's eyes adjusted to the darkness of the den, he saw Saberstar laying on a bed of moss. The stench of sickness filled the air. It was obvious that the old leader was dying.

"Greetings, Hawktalon," the old leader rasped, "I know what you're thinking. You know that I will soon leave to join StarClan. I know you want to call the medicine cat, but I'm not worried. I'm much too old to be leader for very much longer. I was getting tired of the job."

Saberstar was right. Hawktalon had been about to bolt from the den and get the medicine cat.

Saberstar spoke once more, "It is time for my spirit to join StarClan. And that means you will be the new leader of TigerClan."

Although Hawktalon knew that when Saberstar died, hew would be the new leader, this statement still shocked him.

"Saberstar, you can't die. The clan needs you."

"No, my friend. They need a new leader. A leader who is younger and stronger than me, and one who will be there when they need him. They need you."

Saberstar shivered. His condition was getting worse. "I will be dead very soon," said Saberstar. "StarClan is calling me, and I can't deny it. I must leave this life."

Hawktalon watched as the old tiger layed on the ground, shivering. The light in his eyes flickered like a wind-blown fire, and began to fade.

     "Goodbye, Hawktalon, old friend..."

     "Saberstar...?"

     Saberstar was dead.

Hawktalon was speachless. He had just watched his leader die, and he hadn't done anything about it. He felt guilty for the leader's death, even though he had wanted him to die.

Suddenly, Hawktalon was surrounded by darkness.  All he could see was Saberstar's dead body, and, strangely, the constellation Silverpelt. The body began to shimmer, and Saberstar's spirit rose from the body. Ten glowing stars appeared in the air, and the spirit hopped from one to the other, until he reached the top one. He turned to Hawktalon.

"Farewell, Hawktalon. Take good care of TigerClan."

Then Saberstar's spirit leaped up towards Silverpelt, and quickly drifted upwards until it was completely out of sight. The darkness faded, and the den returned to normal.

Hawktalon walked out of the den over to the highrock. He hopped onto the highest point and yowled, "All cats old enough to catch their own prey come to the center of camp for a clan meeting!"

He knew that most of the clan was wondering why it was not Saberstar calling them to a meeting, but before they could inquire, he started to speak.
"I have horrible news. Saberstar is dead."

Many gasps and yowls of shock erupted from the crowd. Hawktalon waited until the noise died down to continue.

"Tomorrow, I will journey to the moonstone and receive my leader name and nine lives. After that, I will be the new leader of TigerClan. I will keep this clan safe, no matter what happens. That is all."

Hawktalon jumped down from the highrock. As cats dispersed from the clearing, they began talking among themselves. Hawktalon wondered if they were doubting his leading abilities. If they were, he would prove that he had what it takes to be as good a leader as Saberstar. He walked up to Quailwing and Bearclaw, his two best friends and the two cats who had come with him when he left TreeClan.
"Quailwing, Bearclaw, soon I will be the new leader of TigerClan. That means I can never return to TreeClan. You may go back, but I am committed to leading this clan now. TigerClan is my permanent home." Hawktalon turned around and walked away from his two friends.
He watched several tigers dragging Saberstar's body into the center of camp so the Clan could share tongues with him one last time.
"Well, this is it," thought Hawktalon, "There's no turning back now..." "
